  • 3.5 Mil Matte Cast Wrap Film with Long-term, Gray, Removable, Repositionable, Pressure Activated Adhesive with Non-visible Air Release Channels
  • Save time and money when doing chrome delete installs with 2" x 75' precut rolls of 3M 1080 matte black vinyl
  • Matte Colors- 7 year expected outdoor performance, 3 year vertical and 1 year horizontal warranty period
  • Matte Metallic Colors- 5 year expected outdoor performance, 3 year vertical and 1 year horizontal warranty period
  • The opacity of these films vary and should be considered when installing
  • Available in 60" rolls, allowing most vehicles to be wrapped without seams
  • Invisible air release channels assure fast and easy virtually bubble-free applications
  • No overlaminate required, however, overlaminates have been shown to improve the cleanability of matte colors and, increase the fade resistance of neon colors
  • Beware:  Matte finishes can become permanently glossed when too much heat is applied during installation.
  • Matte finishes must be cleaned often to maintain a beautiful finish.  Stubborn stains may be removed with vigorous use of liquid adhesive remover combined with Magic Eraser pads.
  • Watercraft graphics applied above static water line only
  • Caution:  Always pre-test vinyl installation on vehicles.  Do not install if there is any adverse or negative impact on sensors and/or other safety-related equipment on the intended vehicle..
  • Warning:  During installation it is critical to prevent “dragging” the adhesive side of wrap vinyls over edges and flat surfaces.  Abrasion caused by dragging can result in “adhesive dots” or “sanding” under the surface of the vinyl and make it appear to have many small bumps.  This is usually not repairable.  For more information and installation advice, please view the video below titled “Avoid Dots/Adhesive lines”.
  • Film colors can vary slightly from roll to roll. For the most consistency, please purchase a full roll.  We are unable to guarantee consistency with multiple orders of cut yardage. 
  • The 3M warranty is for product value only and provides no protection or reimbursement for additional costs including labor or vehicle/paint damage.  Please refer to the Information Sheets below.

Tip For Keeping Your Matte ColorChange Wraps Clean

“I have been driving matte wrapped vehicles for many years and am finding that keeping matte vinyl wraps clean is difficult, but here are some tips that can help:”

  1. Try to prevent stains with Croftgate JP Matte
  2. Don’t let dirt or stains stay on the vinyl very long
  3. Minor cleaning can be done with Croftgate or Rapid Prep and clean cotton rags
  4. Heavy cleaning for difficult stains can be done with Rapid Remover or Croftgate Heavy Duty Cleaner
  5. Clean stubborn stains with Rapid Remover (available from FELLERS) and Magic Eraser pads (not available from FELLERS)
  6. Over laminating with clear vinyl can help prevent stains and maintain matte wraps longer
