The Invictas are a classic rock band that had fan clubs, police escorts, a hit song called "The Hump" and drove a '55 Cadillac hearse. A few years ago, we reunited the band. Since reuniting, we have played with the Beach Boys, been featured by NBC on the Today Show, appeared in media across the country and rocked thousands of people from NY to FL.
As part of the reunion, I purchased an '84 Cadillac hearse from an emergency room doctor in Iowa City. The hearse has a back seat, bar, and rebuilt 502 Cadillac engine. We recorded a song about the hearse called "Big Caddy Hearse."
This may be the only hearse in the country that has its own song.
Graphics were done here in Charlotte, NC by David De Leon at D Signs and Printing. He did a great job and worked hard to be on time. The hearse will be traveling to Upstate NY tomorrow via transporter for band gigs. There will be some professional photos taken there.
I'm also working on a TV show concept called Rock Til Ya Drop and the hearse will be part of the show.
